1. Introduction

Welcome to OTH3R (“this website” or “we”). We value your privacy and handle your personal data under Taiwan’s Personal Data Protection Act. This policy explains what data we collect when you browse this site, create an account, place an order, subscribe to our newsletter or contact customer service, how we use and protect it, and the rights you have. By using this website you confirm you have read and agree to this policy.

2. Scope

This policy covers the OTH3R website and related services (accounts, online shopping, newsletter and customer service). This site may link to other websites (such as Instagram or tracking pages), which have their own privacy policies and are not covered here.

3. Data we collect

We collect only the personal data needed in these situations:

  1. Creating an account (optional): email. Sign-in uses a one-time email code; we never ask for or store a password. You can add or edit your name, phone and address in your account. You can also check out without an account.
  2. Placing an order: name, email, mobile number, shipping address (or convenience-store pickup location), order contents and order history.
  3. Payment: payments are completed on Shopify’s secure checkout. Card numbers and other payment details are encrypted and processed by Shopify and its payment partners; this website never receives or stores your full card number.
  4. Newsletter: email.
  5. Contacting customer service: the name, email, order number, description and photos you send us.
  6. Browsing data: IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, time on page, cookies and similar technical data, used to run the site and analyze traffic.

4. Purpose and use

We use the data we collect only to:

  1. To process orders, confirm payments, and handle shipping, delivery, returns and exchanges.
  2. To provide account services, including sign-in, saved addresses, order history and tracking, and online return requests.
  3. To send order confirmations, shipping notices and tracking information.
  4. To answer customer questions and handle defective items and after-sales service.
  5. To send newsletters such as first-order discount codes, new arrivals and restock alerts (only if you subscribe).
  6. To analyze site usage and improve features and the shopping experience.
  7. To keep transaction records as required by law, or as lawfully requested by the authorities.

5. Retention period, region and recipients

  1. Period: order and transaction records are kept as required by tax and accounting law; account data until you ask us to delete your account; newsletter emails until you unsubscribe; customer service records for a reasonable period after the issue is resolved.
  2. Region: this website runs on Shopify, and data may be stored on Shopify servers outside Taiwan. Shipping details for international orders are shared with international carriers to complete delivery.
  3. Recipients: OTH3R and the partners needed for the purposes above — our website platform (Shopify), payment providers, logistics providers (such as SF Express, ShipAny, home-delivery and international carriers) and our newsletter service. These partners receive only the data needed for their service and must keep it confidential.

6. We never sell your data

We will never sell, rent or trade your personal data to any third party. Apart from the partners above, we share it only:

  1. With your consent.
  2. As required by law, or as lawfully requested by courts, prosecutors or other authorities.
  3. When necessary to protect the rights and safety of this website, other users or the public.

7. Newsletter and unsubscribing

You can unsubscribe at any time using the “Unsubscribe” link at the bottom of every newsletter, or email support@oth3r.com to unsubscribe. After you unsubscribe we stop sending marketing messages, but order-related notices (such as shipping updates) will still be sent.

8. Use of cookies

This website uses cookies and similar technologies to keep your cart, remember your preferences and analyze traffic. You can refuse or delete cookies in your browser settings, but some features (such as the cart and checkout) may stop working. If we use advertising measurement tools in future, we will update this policy.

9. Data security

The whole site uses SSL encryption, and checkout and payment are handled by Shopify’s secure checkout. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, alteration or disclosure.

10. Your rights

Under Taiwan’s Personal Data Protection Act (Article 3), you may exercise the following rights over your personal data:

  1. to request access.
  2. To request a copy.
  3. To request additions or corrections.
  4. To stop collection, processing or use.
  5. To request deletion.

Members can sign in to view and edit their data at any time; for other requests, email support@oth3r.com (including deleting your account), and we will act on it as soon as we confirm your identity. Data we are legally required to keep (such as transaction records) can’t be deleted during the legal retention period. Providing personal data is optional, but without the details needed to place an order we can’t complete it.

11. Minors

If you are under 18, please use this website and provide personal data with the consent and supervision of a parent or guardian.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy because of legal or service changes. Updates are posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date; significant changes are announced clearly on the site.
